FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is this conference all about?

We are excited to bring you a new kind of conference- one that fosters female referral relationships and one that enhances our influence, both in the office and in the courtroom.  After attending an incredible conference geared toward female trial attorneys, Laura Pittner, Holly Dolejsi, and Marlene Goldenberg decided to create a similar experience for Minnesota women trial attorneys.  They joined forces with Karen Kingsley, Liz Fors, and Minnesota Association for Justice to bring you this event.

  • When is the conference?

The conference is scheduled from Thursday, November 1st- Saturday, November 3rd.  While staying one night will allow you to make the whole conference, the conference does last through dinner on Friday evening.  If you have a long drive home from Nisswa, we recommend staying Friday night as well, and we have locked in the room rate for both Thursday and Friday night.

  • Where is the conference?

The conference will take place at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota.

  • How much does it cost to attend?

We wanted to make the conference as accessible as possible.  Consequently, there is no registration fee for the conference itself.  All you have to do is book your room!  Thanks to our amazing sponsors, the rest of the conference is covered.

  • How do I register for the conference?

Click on the Register tab for additional information.

  • If I register, does that mean I also booked a room?

No.  You still need to book your room directly with Grand View.  To book your room, you may follow the Register tab above to the "book your room" link on the MAJ registration page or you may go directly to the Grand View reservation page here.  This page will handle the payment, but we will coordinate sleeping arrangements in accordance with your preferences expressed on your registration form. The room block is held only until October 8, 2019.

  • What is included in the cost of the conference?

As mentioned above, you are only required to pay for your room.  However, by attending, you'll also get two dinners, one lunch, and a generous contribution towards a spa treatment!  We may even throw in a s'more to cap it all off.  The only thing you're responsible for is your accommodations.  Breakfast is included in the cost of your room.

  • How do cabin arrangements work?

Please see the SLEEP page for additional details on cabins.

  • Can I bring my significant other and/or kids?

Absolutely.  While non-plaintiff attorney significant others are not invited to attend the conference itself, Grand View is very family friendly.  Your significant other and kids will have plenty to do!  You can view a full list of Grand View's activities here.

If you are planning to bring your significant other and/or kids, you will not be paired with other conference attendees and will need to make your own accommodations outside of the conference room rate.

  • Is there CLE credit available?

Because we want to keep costs down, there is no CLE credit available at the conference.
